Join the Summer Walking Group in Mid-Valley: Explore MWV’s Most Walkable Trails

Are you looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors, meet new people, and stay active this summer? Look no further than the Mid-Valley Summer Walking Group! We’ve planned a series of weekly walks along the MWV Age-Friendly Most Walkable Trails, and we’d love for you to join us.

Walkable TrailsWeekly Walks on Scenic Trails

Our group will meet every Wednesday at 8:30 AM for a leisurely walk that typically lasts about an hour. These walks are perfect for anyone who enjoys walking rather than hiking and wants to soak in the natural beauty of our area without the commitment of a strenuous trek. The trails are selected for their accessibility and beauty, ensuring a pleasant experience for all participants.

No Commitment Necessary

One of the best parts about our walking group is the flexibility. There’s no need to RSVP — just show up at the trailhead ready to walk. Rain or shine, we will be there, walking through some of the most beautiful landscapes Mid-Valley has to offer. You’re welcome to bring friends, or neighbors to join in the fun. Pets are not allowed on these walks.

Towns included are Conway (Intervale, North Conway and Conway), Albany and Madison.

Walkable TrailsEssential Tips for Walkers

To make your walking experience enjoyable and safe, we recommend bringing sunscreen, bug spray, a hat for shade, a hiking pole if needed, a camera, binoculars for bird watching enthusiasts, a water bottle, and sunglasses. Your comfort and safety are paramount, and being prepared will help you make the most of each walk.

Meet Our Leader

The group is led by Marianne Jackson, MD, a local enthusiast of outdoor activities and an advocate for community health. Feel free to reach out to her at 603-340-3564 or via email at for any questions or additional information about the walking group.

Join Us and Step Into Nature

This summer, make a commitment to your health and well-being by joining the Mid-Valley Summer Walking Group. Not only will you get to explore some of the most walkable trails in the area, but you’ll also make lasting friendships and create memorable experiences. See you at the trailhead!
